An inside tour. Due to popular demand… because we all love a good makeover… and because my idea to share inside-the-bus pictures on my Facebook and Instagram stories failed somewhat miserably when I received multiple messages asking me what exactly stories were and how were they to be accessed?
This bus is cute. It feels like home. It is cozy and comfortable and the construction was done so beautifully by our friends at Blue Ridge Conversions.
In case you’re wondering, Margot sleeps in the little cubby bed underneath our queen size platform at the back. We have two small cubby shelves beside our bed for clothing and storage, and the kids share a small hanging closet, and can store extra clothes underneath their beds.
We have four solar panels that are sufficient to run our fridge, lights and fans as well as charge computers. It keeps us from being tied to needing electrical hookup and the compost toilet eliminates our need for sewage. We have a 50 gallon water tank that seems to go a long way, especially now that the kids are all freaked out over our water usage and are careful to not leave it running. I just wish they would leave me alone about it because I am an adult and can make my own water decisions.
We call her Rusty and we love her. We’ll be selling her when we’re done so if you love her too, start saving your pennies and let us know what you think:)
